Growing up in the Bay Area Stacey Currie also known as DjWes, was always easily influenced with the music he would hear coming from his boom box, ranging from rock, pop, hip-hop, techno, etc. After chilling with his uncles for awhile he was able to pick the basic skills of producing instrumentals for other artist and was able to advance in that area and eventually decided to pick up another skill commonly known as Djing. Djwes developed his skills here within youthradio’s facilities with the help of Mike Manuel who showed him the basic fundamentals and Michael Kassier A.K.A. DjMic who gave the advanced fundamentals from Crowd Control to perfecting beat matching. In 2007 DjWes had his first gig at his high school dance right along side DjMic and soon after that was known as the dj around the school which eventually spreaded across the Bay Area, making him a well known mobile party dj. DjWes’s most recent works is his currently successful mix show on youthradio raw Fridays 5-6pm, and is now an official First Class Dj. He Plans to eventually relocate to a known club in San Fransico and eventually even go mainstream commercial radio, seeing he has much experience within that area.(Want DjWes to come Dj your party?
